Putin orders to work out govt support for logistics projects in Africa, S. America, Southeast Asia

MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to submit proposals on additional support measures for Russian companies working in the field of international logistics.

Putin endorsed a list of directives based on outcomes of the union's congress and his meeting with its board members on April 25.

The government and the entrepreneurs are to prepare proposals until August 1 "on providing Russian organizations with additional support measures to build sustainable logistical chains and infrastructure for foreign economic operations on new markets in Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia, including the development of mechanisms to coordinate the functioning of government bodies and organizations concerned," a statement published on the Kremlin's website says.
