Shanghai Cooperation Organization energy ministers agree on 2030 collaboration strategy
ASTANA. June 21 (Interfax) - The respective energy ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries have agreed on the draft strategy to develop the organization's energy cooperation until 2030, an Interfax correspondent reported.
"The document is comprehensive and ambitious, taking into account the interests of all parties and encompassing a wide range of advanced areas for developing the energy industry across SCO countries," Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev said.
The agreement was finalized during a meeting in Astana, where participants endorsed the strategy. The strategy is expected to be formally adopted at the upcoming SCO heads of state summit in Astana on July 3-4, marking a significant milestone in regional energy cooperation.
