Delimobil to relaunch carsharing in Bashkortostan
MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - PJSC Carsharing Russia, which provides car sharing services under the Delimobil brand , plans to relaunch operations in Bashkortostan in late June, the company said.
Delimobil will thus be present in 12 major Russian cities. The area covered in the region will include Ufa and other major cities in Bashkortostan, including Sterlitamak, Salavat, Kumertau, Neftekamsk, and Oktyabrsky. There will be around 500 cars in the fleet, from economy to business class.
Delimobil had previously operated in Ufa in 2017-2020, having announced its return to the market at the start of 2022, though it soon postponed the relaunch.
"We launched operations in Sochi in March, are currently preparing to relaunch in Ufa, and plan to continue geographic expansion. Car sharing is becoming increasingly popular in the regions. Our entry into Sochi has demonstrated that operating in new cities is becoming efficient faster than it has been in previous years," Delimobil CEO Yelena Bekhtina was quoted as saying in the statement.
Founded in 2015, Delimobil has over 9.6 million users registered in the service. The company's fleet includes more than 26,600 cars. PJSC Carsharing Russia held an IPO on the Moscow Exchange in early February.
