Russian, Belarusian MPs back creation of Network University of High Technologies
MINSK. June 17 (Interfax) - The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Russia and Belarus has supported the initiative of establishing the Union State's Network University of High Technologies.
The corresponding resolution recommending the university's establishment to the Russian Science and Higher Education Ministry and the Belarusian Education Ministry was adopted at the 66th session of the Parliamentary Assembly on Monday.
According to the resolution, the Network University of High Technologies is to be established "taking into account strategic and technological tracks intended, among other things, for support of the Union State's comprehensive security."
Russian and Belarusian MPs also recommend continue implementing joint higher education programs between the two countries' universities, with a possibility of receiving two diplomas in the most popular specializations, the resolution said.
