Galnaftogaz to build 150 MW wind farm in Ukraine with IFC funding
MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - The World Bank Group's International Finance Corporation and Galnaftogaz, which is part of Ukraine's OKKO Group, have signed a mandate letter to finance the construction of a 150 MW wind farm, Ukrainian media reported, quoting IFC Vice President Alfonso Garcia Mora.
"The energy sector is one of Ukraine's most vital sectors. We signed a mandate letter between IFC and Galnaftogaz to finance a 150 megawatts wind project," he said on social media.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed an agreement this week to lend OKKO Group 60 million euros to build a bioethanol plant.
OKKO Group includes more than 10 diversified businesses in the field of production, trade, construction, insurance, service and other services. The group's flagship company is Galnaftogaz Concern, which operates one of Ukraine's largest networks of filling stations - around 400 of them - under the OKKO brand.
The majority shareholder is Vitaly Antonov. Minority shareholders include the EBRD.
