Switzerland to allocate over 60 mln euros to support Ukraine's digitalization

MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - The government of Switzerland has allocated 58.7 million Swiss francs (60.6 million euros at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine) for the continued support to Ukraine in digitalization and e-governance for the next four years.

The Federal Council has made a relevant decision at a session on June 7, Ukrainian media outlets said with a reference to the press service for the Swiss government.

"Switzerland is thus promoting democratic reforms in Ukraine through digitalization and at the same time increasing the transparency of state-provided services," the press service said.

Switzerland will provide 58.7 million Swiss francs to Ukraine in 2024-2028. The funding will come from the regular international cooperation budget. Some of the key areas will include healthcare, education and humanitarian demining.

Switzerland will announce its support in digitalization and e-governance at the next Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) to take place in Berlin on June 11-12, 2024.
