VK passes management of Odnoklassniki to management team

MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - Internet holding VK transferred management of the Odnoklassniki (OK) social network to a collegial body, a management team, which will include representatives of VK top management and members of OK management.

The management team will be responsible for operational processes, strategic decision-making and the social network's development, the holding's statement said.

A similar management system was implemented in the Vkontakte social network last July when its general director, Marina Krasnova, and Vice President for Technology and Development of VK, Technical Director of VKontakte, Alexander Tobol, left the holding.

The holding has also appointed a new vice president, Nikolai Duksin, under whose leadership the music and video services VK Music, VK Video and VK Records- are to be united, VK's statement said. Duksin previously worked with music services and video content. In his new role, he will be comprehensively responsible for this area, up to and including its product development, the statement said.

In addition, VK's advertising technologies and ML systems have been brought together under the leadership of Anton Frolov, Vice President for AI, Content and Recommendation Services.

VK is Russia's largest technology company by number of users. VK owns the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, the content platforms Zen and News, and the Mail.ru mail platform. The company also develops music and video services, communication and dating services, educational platforms, the VK Play playground, and the RuStore mobile application store among others. In addition, the company offers consumers a set of products and services for the digitalization of business processes.
