Berdimuhamedov tasks Turkmen Finance Ministry with drafting 2025 state budget
ASHGABAT. June 3 (Interfax) - Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree ordering the drafting of a national budget by November 1, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said on Saturday.
The decree tasks the Finance and Economy Ministry with setting up a working group of specialists and organizing its effective work to elaborate the corresponding drafts.
The drafts of Turkmenistan's state budget, major guidelines for national socio-economic development and the investment program for 2025 were presented to Berdimuhamedov by Deputy Prime Minister Khojamyrat Geldimyradov at a government meeting last Friday.
The major objectives set for next year include maintaining macroeconomic stability, the further rapid development of economic sectors, investing most investment in a fundamental retrofitting of production facilities, creating a favorable business environment, and improving the living standards of the population, he said.
