Ukraine ships 423 tonnes of chopped peas to Mauritania

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Ukraine and the World Food Program (WFP) have delivered 423 tonnes of chopped peas to Mauritania for the first time in the entire period of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program, Ukrainian media quoted the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry as saying on social media.

"These goods will contribute to WFP's activities in the region, in particular, the programs for school feeding and support to the population in the poor harvest season. A part of Ukrainian peas in combination with other goods will be used at schools across the country and at the camps for displaced people. Another part will sustain the operations of public health centers," the ministry said.
