Fodder corn prices up in Ukraine

MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - Prices for fodder corn continue to grow on the Ukrainian market, rising by more than 1,000 hryvni per tonne since the beginning of May, Ukrainian media said, citing the APK-Inform information and analytical agency.

"The active demand from processing, livestock and export-focused companies and the insufficiently active supply of grain as farmers hold back sales are contributing to the growth of prices. Corresponding dynamics on the export market is also impacting the active rise in corn prices," the agency's analysts said.

Fodder corn prices went up by 1,000-1,300 hryvni per tonne between the beginning of May and May 27, now standing at 6,400-7,900 hryvni per tonne CPT, they said.
