Bashneft launches permeate processing in Bashkiria
UFA. May 21 (Interfax) - Bashneft has put a high-tech unit for processing permeate (acid gas) into operation at an automated gas treatment complex, an Interfax correspondent reported.
The launch ceremony took place on Tuesday in Ufa as part of the Russian Petrochemical Forum and the 32nd Gas. Oil. Technologies International Exhibition.
The gas treatment complex operates at the Meteli production depot in the Duvansky district.
The commissioning of the new facility has made it possible to increase the degree of useful use of associated petroleum gas at the Metelinskoye field to 96.5% (it was 95.1% in 2020). Part of the resulting gas mixture is sent to industrial and household consumers, while the rest serves as fuel for Meteli gas piston power plant to generate its own electricity.
"Producing more than 75 million kWh of electricity per year, the Meteli power plant ensures the operation of oilfield equipment at the company's Arlanskoye and Naratovskoye fields in the republic's Krasnokamsk region," materials for the ceremony say.
According to the administration of the Duvansky district, Bashneft-Dobycha completed the modernization of the gas piston power plant (GPPP) in 2021, which meets the needs of oil production and treatment facilities at the Metelinskoye oil field. The installed capacity of the station is 12 MW.
The Metelinskoye field is located in the northeast of Bashkortostan, on the territory of the Duvansky and Mechetlinsky districts, in the basin of the lower reaches of the Ai River.
The Russian Petroleum and Gas Chemical Forum and the 32nd Gas. Oil. Technologies International Exhibition are being held in Ufa from May 21-24. The exhibition is spread through five halls with a total area of more than 14,500 sq. m. As part of the forum, key trends in the development of the industry and prospects for achieving the country's technological sovereignty are being discussed. The events have been organized by the Bashkir government with the support and participation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
