JYSK opens new store in Ukraine's Kiev region

MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - The Danish furniture and home furnishings chain JYSK opened a new store in the community of Pogreby in the Brovary district in the Kiev region on Thursday, May 16, Ukrainian media reported, citing the retailer's press service.

"JYSK adds the 95th store to its chain in Ukraine. Great job!" JYSK Country Director in Ukraine Yevgeny Ivanitsa said.

The new store is located in the Silpo shopping mall and has a retail area of 1,073 square meters, with a 223-square-meter warehouse. An 80-square-meter garden product exhibition is set up outside.

Like all new JYSK stores, it features Concept 3.0, which provides for modern spot lighting, spacious layout, customer-friendly zonal placement of product categories, a spacious mattress studio, and so on, as well as an enlarged social area and improved conditions for staff.

More updates on the chain's expansion will be announced next week, Ivanitsa said.

Currently, 95 stores and the online store jysk.ua are operating in Ukraine. The company is planning to have 100 stores by the end of 2024. JYSK has over 800 employees in the country.

JYSK is part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group with over 3,400 stores in 48 countries.
