In total, 373 Duma members voted in his favor, two voted against, and 53 abstained.
"We should give you credit for the fact that we discussed the subject of improving the quality of education together with you, and addressed the return of specialization and reducing the influence of the bachelor's program. This is undoubtedly your merit," Volodin said at the plenary session.
Earlier on Tuesday, Falkov briefed members of the State Duma on the program for the main areas of the ministry's activities. The program envisions, in particular, fulfilling each person's capabilities, developing one's talents, raising patriotic and socially responsible individuals, and ensuring the involvement of 75% of young people in projects and programs aimed at professional and personal development and patriotic education.
