Ukraine's Nova Post opens first office in Spain
MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Nova Post has opened the first office in Spain, specifically in Barcelona, and plans to broaden the network into Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Malaga, Estepona and Madrid in the near future, Ukrainian media said, citing the company press service.
"The opening of the first office in Spain is just the beginning. We seek to be as close to our clients as we can, so we will soon open another office in Barcelona and will be actively developing the network of parcel pickup points together with our partners over the year," the press release quoted Nova Post CEO in Spain Alexander Pavlovsky as saying.
The press release noted that the Nova Post in Barcelona, which is opened 24/7, allows clients to receive and send documents, parcels and cargo of up to 100 kilograms to Ukraine. The declared delivery time is at least eight days.
It costs 1,000 hryvni to send documents from Ukraine to Spain, alongside 1,050 hryvni for parcels of up to two kilograms, 1,700 hryvni for parcels of up to ten kilograms, and 3,000 hryvni for parcels of up to 30 kilograms. Parcels that weigh from 30 to 100 kilograms are paid for 120 hryvni per kilo.
As reported, Nova Post will start delivering cargo of up to 1,000 kilograms to any address in Spain in May. Courier services are paid for separately, 100 hryvni for parcels smaller than 30 kilograms or 120 hryvni per every 100 kilograms.
According to the press release, Nova Post has over 35,000 points in Europe for sending and receiving parcels, of which 90 are Nova Post's own offices in 11 countries, such as Estonia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Hungary and Moldova.
