Russian military experts disinfecting healthcare facilities in Italy's Bergamo - Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - Russian military virologists have begun anti-epidemic measures at healthcare facilities in Lombardy, the work is being carried out together with Italian experts, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"A team of epidemiologists and experts of the Russian Defense Ministry's Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops together with Italian medical experts fully disinfected the Martino Zanchi assisted living facility outside Bergamo. A total of 2,000 square meters of indoor premises and access roads were disinfected," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement shared with Interfax on Friday.
Russian crews of mobile disinfecting systems participated in this operation, the statement said. "Today, Russian experts will conduct sanitary treatment of another medical facility and initial surveys will be conducted at two of them," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
