Experian Interfax Credit Bureau in association with Sberbank and Experian
Experian Interfax credit bureau aims to improve transparency in the Russian retail lending market, reduce credit risk and provide consumers with better access to credit.
Experian Interfax is owned by Interfax Information Services Group, Sberbank, Russia’s biggest bank, and Experian, a global leader in providing value-added information solutions to organizations and consumers.
Experian Interfax started business activities in March 2006. The bureau's clients include over 200 banks as well as mobile phone operators, collection agencies and insurers. The bureau is energetically expanding operations, introducing borrower evaluation scoring and anti-fraud systems and developing new software solutions for banks.
Experian Interfax technical operations are based in Moscow in the most advanced and secure facility, which meets and exceed ISO 1799/BS 7799 and are regularly subjected to independent security audit. Its technical center has been successfully tested for compliance with Russian security standards.
Consumers and small businesses benefit from the bureau because it helps lenders make better credit decisions which, over time, will reduce costs and enable greater access to credit on more favorable terms.

"Setting up credit bureaus is a new feature in the Russian financial sector, and so it would hardly make any sense to ignore the experience of such work that has been accumulated abroad and technologies and business processes that have proved viable in practice. So joint projects in this area deserve nothing but praise. The emergence of a Russian credit bureau with the participation of Interfax Group and the leading world player in this market, the Experian company, can be seen, as it were, as a vote of confidence in the Russian financial system, which is gaining in strength." Alexander Zhukov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister |
