Matviyenko, U.S. ambassador discuss ways of normalizing bilateral relations - Kosachyov (Part 2)
MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko and U.S. Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman have met to discuss bilateral relations and ways of normalizing them, according to Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachyov.
"The meeting took place at the request of the U.S. side. Bilateral relations and the role of inter-parliamentary dialogue in their possible normalization were discussed," Kosachyov told Interfax on Tuesday.
Ideas on developing inter-parliamentary contacts between Russia and the United States were suggested at the meeting, Kosachyov said.
"They will continue to be considered," he said.
