Tymoshenko calls for NATO referendum to be held on Rada elections day
KYIV. Aug 30 (Interfax) - Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has said that her party is going to launch a procedure necessary for a nationwide referendum over Ukraine's accession to NATO to be held simultaneously with the early parliament elections on October 26.
"The Batkivshchyna Party has decided to start, as of today, all the procedures necessary for a referendum over NATO membership to be held on the day of the early parliamentary elections," she told reporters in Kyiv on Saturday.
