Investments in SOCAR-Polimer to total $335 mln
BAKU. July 4 (Interfax) - Investments in LLC SOCAR-Polimer, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), will total $335 million, the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, of which SOCAR-Polimer is a resident, told Interfax.
SOCAR-Polimer will begin building a plant to produce various types of propathene by end-2014.
"The plant's construction will continue over the course of two years," a representative of the industrial park said.
The plant will produce various types of propathene and propathene products for use in everyday life, as well as in the consumer goods industry, medical inventory, construction, agriculture, automotive and electrical engineering.
