Poroshenko hopes for early parliamentary elections this year
KHARKIV. May 14 (Interfax) - Ukrainian presidential candidate and Verkhovna Rada member Petro Poroshenko hopes that early parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be held this year.
"I hope that they will be held this year," he said at a Wednesday press conference in Kharkiv.
He once again spoke out for early elections and stressed that "the elections will stem from the disintegration of the coalition because de facto there is no connection between coalition members."
Poroshenko said that elections should be held according to open lists.
