Rospotrebnadzor experts to go to Ukraine to inspect Roshen factories next week
MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Experts of the Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor will inspect the Roshen confectionary corporation in Ukraine, Rospotrebnadzor said in a statement posted on its website on Wednesday.
"Next week, following the completion of documents' inspection, it is planned that Rospotrebnadzor experts will inspect the Ukrainian enterprises of the Roshen confectionary corporation in Ukraine and two Ukrainian laboratories - the Medved Research Center of Preventive Toxicology, Food and Chemical Safety of the Ukrainian Health Ministry and the state enterprise, the All-Ukrainian State Research and Production Center of Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Customers' Rights Protection of the Ukrainian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade," the statement said.
Ukraine has submitted all documents for the inspection of Roshen products, the Russian watchdog said.
Rospotrebnadzor head Gennady Onishchenko said on October 8 that the Russian watchdog still had issues with Roshen and insisted that its experts be allowed to inspect production facilities. In late July Rospotrebnadzor banned supplies of chocolate and candies produced at the four Ukrainian factories of Roshen due to quality concerns.
