No gas accord agreed yet between Russia, China - Peskov (Part 2)
NOVO-OGARYOVO. March 21 (Interfax) - No decisive document is available thus far in connection with the Russian-Chinese gas agreement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said ahead of President Vladimir Putin's talks with Chinese leader Xi Zinping.
"As far as I know, no decisive document is available on gas. But contacts continue in a positive mode, although no gas agreement can be seen on the long list of documents," Peskov told reporters.
He said Xi's upcoming visit to Russia is his first in general and first to Russia.
"The agenda is more than extensive. Our trade is gigantic. The discussion will cover a maximum wide spectrum of issues," Peskov said.
Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich has spoken this week about plans to sign Russian-Chinese oil and gas accords.
He said a final agreement could be negotiated in talks between the Russian and Chinese leaders on the terms and amounts of additional oil shipments to China.
Dvorkovich also said that the Russian and Chinese leaders could agree to draw loans in oil and gas shipments.
