Former Svyazinvest CEO might join Mosenergosbyt board

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The board of directors of OJSC Mosenergosbyt (RTS: MSSB), the electricity provider of last resort in Moscow and the surrounding region, has compiled a list of 20 candidates for the new board to be elected at the annual general meeting, the company said in a statement.

The list includes Yevgeny Yurchenko, the former CEO of state telecoms holding company Svyazinvest.

Current board directors nominated to the new board include Inter RAO chief executive Boris Kovalchuk; Alexander Abramkov, head of internal audit, control and risk management at Inter RAO; Vladimir Alganov, chief adviser to Kovalchuk; Anatoly Gavrilenko, head of CJSC Lider; Lider deputy CEO for investment and government relations Alexei Nuzhdov; Gazfond vice president Nikolai Semin; and Wolfgang Skribot, head of power and infrastructure projects in the direct investments department at Gazprombank (RTS: GZPR).

Also nominated to the board are Ilnar Mirsiyapov, head of strategy and investment at Inter RAO; Yury Scherbakov, chief treasurer at Inter RAO; Inter RAO legal affairs chief Alexander Pakhomov; Mosenergosbyt first deputy CEO Andrei Kovalev; Mikhail Konstantinov, head of corporate governance in Inter RAO's corporate and property relations division; Inter RAO executive director Alexander Boris; Gazfond executive vice president Vladislav Brylkov; Gazfond vice president Sergei Bushmakin; CJSC Lider managing director Sergei Kerber; Lider first deputy CEO Yury Sizov; Yevgeny Borisov, adviser to Gazprombank's CEO; and Pavel Livinsky, head of Moscow's fuel and energy department.

Therefore, the following directors might lose their seats: Yevgeny Miroshnichenko, head of strategic development in Inter RAO's strategy and investment division; MOESK chief executive Pyotr Sinyutin; Yevgeny Sklyarov of Moscow's fuel and energy department; Andrei Lukin, CEO of United Electricity Distribution Company; Vyacheslav Khodykin, head of economic planning and methodology at Inter RAO; and Gazfond executive vice president Rinat Baibekov.

The controlling stake in the company is owned by state-controlled OJSC Inter RAO UES (RTS: IRAO). Companies close to Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) hold a blocking stake in Mosenergosbyt, and the Moscow city government owns about 7.5% of shares.
