Party of Regions leading in Ukraine election
KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax) - A tally of 99.37% of the ballots cast in Ukraine's October 28 parliamentary election points to a win for President Viktor Yanukovych's Party of Regions in the candidate list vote, and gives 25.48% of the vote to Batkivshchyna, 13.93% to the Udar party, 13.2% to the Communist Party and 10.42% to Svoboda.
The official results will be confirmed after the numbers from the original election protocols are counted.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton has given an interview to Interfax‘ correspondent Olga Golovanova on the eve of the Russia-EU summit in Yekaterinburg on June 3-4, in which she speaks about the summit‘s agenda and EU‘s position on arms embargo on Syria, as well as the Iranian nuclear issue.
