Ukraine's grain export reaches 8.1 mln tonnes as of Oct 26 - ministry
KYIV. Oct 26 (Interfax) - Ukraine has exported nearly 8.1 million tonnes of grain since the beginning of the current marketing year (July 2012), the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry said in a report.
In particular, Ukraine has exported 3.99 million tonnes of wheat, including 3.31 million tonnes of food wheat, and also 2.45 million tonnes of corn and 1.51 million tonnes of barley.
Ukraine has also contracted to export 12.13 million tonnes of grain as of October 26, including 5.53 million tonnes of wheat, 1.99 million tonnes of barley, and 4.36 million tonnes of corn.
In the previous marketing year, Ukraine exported nearly 22 million tonnes of grain.
