Suspected militant wounded during detention in Ingushetia - source
NAZRAN. Oct 26 (Interfax) - A suspected militant has been detained in a special operation in Nazran, an Ingush policeman told Interfax.
"The police blocked a suspected militant in a private house in the Nasyr-Kort municipality on Friday night. He started shooting and was wounded in the gunfire exchange," he said.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital. His name is kept secret in the interest of the investigation.
A police source told Interfax later that the suspect was carrying a suicide bomber belt and a handmade grenade.
He said the suspect was injured in his legs but his condition was stable.
His possible involvement in felony acts in the republic is being verified.
