Dollar, euro turn upwards in first MICEX trading on Fri
MOSCOW. Aug 10 (Interfax) - The dollar and the euro rebounded on the MICEX in the first minutes of trading on Friday, and the ruble slipped against the bicurrency basket as global markets turned gloomier.
The dollar opened in the 31.65-31.85 rubles/$1 range, averaging 31.83 rubles/$1 in the first two minutes after the market opened, 16 kopecks higher than Thursday close and 35 kopecks over the official Friday exchange rate.
The euro rose 9 kopecks to 39.1 rubles/EUR1, which was 15 kopecks over the official exchange rate.
The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) gained 13 kopecks to 35.1 rubles.
