Russian Railways ups ferrous metal shipments 0.4% in 6M
MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Russian Railways (RZD) (RTS: RZHD) shipped 45.9 million tonnes of ferrous metals in January-June, 0.6% less than in the same period of last year, the company said in materials.
Domestic shipments grew 4.1% to 25.014 million tonnes and international shipments were up 3.9% to 20.944 million tonnes, including 1.4% to 12.329 million tonnes via ports and 7.6%. Imports fell 16.7% to 3.436 million tonnes, exports rose 7.9% to 16.406 million tonnes and transit came to 1.102 million tonnes.
