Russia's Rosbank boosts IFRS net profit 61% to 6.17 bln rubles in 2007
MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - Russia's Rosbank (RTS: ROSB) increased
net profit under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by
61% to 6.17 billion rubles in 2007 from 3.8 billion rubles in 2006, the
bank said in a statement.
The bank's assets grew 39% to 408.063 billion rubles last year.
The loan portfolio to the bank's clients stood at 233.559 billion
rubles at the end of 2007, up from 161.243 billion rubles in 2006, while
deposits totaled 283.804 billion rubles, up from 204.662 billion rubles.
Rosbank increased equity 45% to 40.891 billion rubles in 2007 from
28.164 billion rubles in 2006.
France's Societe Generale owns 50% plus one share in Rosbank, while
Interros Holding owns 37.31%.
Rosbank was Russia's eighth largest bank by assets in 2007,
according to the Interfax-100 ranking of the country's biggest lending
institutions, compiled by the Interfax Center for Economic Analysis.
