Putin says financial markets regulation needs to be improved
MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - Financial markets infrastructure and
regulation needs to be improved, Vladimir Putin, candidate for Russian
prime minister, said in the State Duma.
"One and the same transactions by various market participants are
being regulated in different ways, which is creating unequal terms for
competition," Putin said.
Financial sector legislation also needs to be improved, including
the creation of the legal bases for regulating derivatives trading,
Putin said.
