Russian torpedo no hazard - Ukrainian defense minister
KYIV. May 7 (Interfax) - The Russian airborne torpedo discovered in
Crimea was no hazard to the natural environment, Ukrainian Defense
Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov said.
"There was no hazard and there are no hazards in this regard," the
defense minister told journalists after congratulating World War II
veterans on Wednesday.
"It would be premature to give any assessment to the Russian side's
actions. Details of the incident are not known and an investigation is
continuing," he said.
"I think we will sort it out in a routine way," he said.
The Black Sea Fleet has been negotiating all actions with the
Ukrainian side lately, Yekhanurov said.
