Tehran not interested in foreign incentives - Iranian diplomat
MOSCOW. May 7 (Interfax) - Iran believes it has a sovereign right
to develop a nuclear program and does not need any incentives from the
international community, said Iranian Ambassador in Moscow Gholamreza
Ansari.
"Our nuclear rights are defined by international norms and in the
framework of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, and therefore it is
our lawful and sovereign right," he said on the Ekho Moskvy radio
station on Wednesday.
The six international mediators on the Iranian nuclear problems met
in London last week and "decided to grant certain incentives to Iran,"
he recalled.
"But Iran does not need incentives," Ansari said.
"We do not accept visions whereby one is the father and the other
is the son, one is a teacher and the other is a student," he said.
"We need equal rights," the ambassador said.
