Public land could be used only in exercising state's powers - decree
MOSCOW. May 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has
ordered the government to prepare a bill that would make the
requisitioning of public land possible only in the exercise of federal
state powers, a Kremlin spokesperson said.
According to the president's decree, the Russian government must
before September 1, 2008, " prepare and send to the State Duma a draft
federal law allowing the use of federal land only for the exercise of
federal state powers and widening the grounds on which termination of a
title to land in federal ownership is possible, including land held by
federal agencies, the Russian Academy of Sciences' branches,
institutions and centers and their branches."
