Interfax Director General Mikhail Komissar awarded Order of Friendship

President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree awarding Mikhail Komissar, Interfax's Director General, the Order of Friendship.

The decree says that Komissar has been awarded the Order his "services to the development of Russian mass media."

Mikhail Komissar is the founder of the Interfax news agency. He has been heading the news agency since the day it was established in 1989. Nowadays, Interfax is an international news group working in the CIS, Eastern and Western Europe, Asia and the United States.
