Moscow intends to develop relations with African countries, including in defense sector - Kremlin

MOSCOW. May 3 (Interfax) - Russia will continue developing its relations with African countries, including in the defense sector, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We are developing our relations with various African countries in all sectors, including defense. They are interested in this, we are also interested in this, and we will continue developing our relations with African countries," Peskov told reporters on Friday as he commented on information in the media about the deployment of Russian troops at a U.S. military base in Niger.
