Uzbek president, Russian presidential aide discuss implementation of top-level agreements

TASHKENT. May 3 (Interfax) - Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has met with Russian presidential aide Maxim Oreshkin, who heads Russia's delegation to the Tashkent International Investment Forum, official Uzbek media said on Friday.

"They discussed the practical implementation of top-level agreements as part of steps to deepen the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations," media outlets said.

Mirziyoyev for his part noted the steady growth of bilateral trade and the implementation of key projects in industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry and other sectors, they said. The parties gave special attention to cooperation on advanced technologies, education, sports, and personnel training and reskilling.

"They highly assessed the results of the Innoprom. Central Asia International Industrial Exhibition, hosted by Tashkent on April 22-24 this year," Uzbek media said.
