New infrastructure routes in S. Caucasus will promote region's sustainable economic development - Mishustin

TSAKHKADZOR, Armenia. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has said he is convinced that opening new infrastructure routes while unblocking economic and logistical links in the South Caucasus would promote the region's sustainable economic development.

"We consistently favor unblocking economic, transport, and logistical links in the South Caucasus. And in line with the agreements [reached] between the Russian, Armenian, and Azerbaijani leaders, I am convinced that creating new infrastructure routes would ensure the region's sustainable economic development," Mishustin said at a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

This should also bolster contacts between people living in the region, he said.
