Novaport plans to invest 67 billion rubles in regional airports from 2025-2030

MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - Novaport Holding, whose beneficiary is businessman Roman Trotsenko, plans to invest about 67 billion rubles in the construction and reconstruction of regional airports from 2025 through 2030, Dmitry Ryzhov, deputy general director for the development of airfield infrastructure said.

Novaport built new terminals at nine airports from 2019-2024 with a total area of 140,000 sq. m at a cost of 53 billion rubles, Ryzhov said during a panel discussion on the development of airports at the Russia exhibition. Four of them, in Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Vladikavkaz, have already been put into operation, while the remaining five, in Voronezh, Stavropol, Tomsk, Ulan-Ude and Magadan, are planned for commissioning this year.

"Our plans are no less aggressive for 2025-2030; we will also be building nine terminals with a total area of 100,000 sq. m for 67 billion rubles at the airports in Murmansk, Astrakhan, Minvody, Tyumen, Salekhard, Magnitogorsk, Barnaul, Chita and Ulan-Ude. This plan for the new five-year period has already been half-implemented: contracts have been concluded, and about 40% of the cost is already set in concrete and iron," Ryzhov said.

Novaport currently unites 26 regional airports, which served 35 million people in total in 2023, 14% more than the year before, Ryzhov said.
