U.S. Energy Dept raises forecast for Azerbaijan's liquid hydrocarbon output by 10,000 bpd in 2024-25

BAKU. May 8 (Interfax) - The U.S. Energy Department's Energy Information Administration (EIA) has raised its forecast for Azerbaijan's production of liquid hydrocarbons by 10,000 barrels per day for 2024-2025, the EIA said in its monthly forecast.

The EIA said that Azerbaijan should produce 0.61 million bpd of liquid hydrocarbons this year versus the April forecast of 0.6 million bpd, including 0.6 million bpd in the first quarter (0.6 million bpd), 0.6 million bpd in the second quarter (0.6 million bpd), 0.61 million bpd in the third quarter (0.6 million bpd), and 0.62 million bpd in the fourth quarter (0.61 million bpd).

The EIA forecasts that the country will produce 0.65 million bpd of liquid hydrocarbons in 2025 against the April forecast of 0.64 million bpd, including 0.63 million bpd in the first quarter, 0.65 million bpd in the second quarter, and 0.66 million bpd in the third and fourth quarters.

Updated EIA data indicate that Azerbaijan produced 0.62 million bpd of liquid hydrocarbons in 2023.
