Putin, Pashinyan to meet on Wed evening - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will meet on Wednesday evening after the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The summit will take place in both narrow and expanded formats, and will be followed by the signing of final documents and an informal dinner for the meeting's participants on behalf of the Russian president, he said.

"Putin will have a bilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan at the end of the meeting. This is a necessary meeting awaited by both sides," Peskov said.

As to whether Moscow sees risks in Armenia's suspended membership in the EAEU, Peskov said, "All I can say is that the EAEU integration process has been quite successful and has ensured member states' accelerated development, which they are aware of."

"The share of this integration process in the member states' annual GDP growth is quite substantial, so its further development meets the interests of member states," Peskov said.
