Ukraine's GDP grew 5.3% in 2023 - State Statistics Service

MOSCOW. March 28 (Interfax) - Ukraine's real gross domestic product rose 5.3% in 2023 after falling 28.8% in 2022, Ukrainian media reported, citing preliminary data from the country's State Statistics Service.

Nominal GDP was UAH 6.538 trillion and the deflator 18.5%.

Real GDP fell 10.3% year-on-year in Q1 but rose 19.2% in Q2, 9.6% in Q3 and 4.7% in Q4 2023.

Nominal GDP was UAH 1.363 trillion in Q1, UAH 1.464 trillion in Q2, UAH 1.778 trillion in Q3 and UAH 1.933 trillion in Q4 2023.

The National Bank of Ukraine in January estimated the economy had grown 5.7% to UAH 6.51 trillion in 2023. The government in November improved its GDP growth estimate for 2023 from 2.8% to 5%. The International Monetary Fund in its updated EFF program estimated real GDP growth at 5% in 2023 and nominal GDP at UAH 6.5 trillion.
